Bellway acquires land in Merseyside for ‘Rupert the Bear’ inspired scheme
Bellway Homes has acquired over eight acres of land in Roby for a new residential scheme.
The development, Nutwood, will deliver 87 homes across a mix of three- and four-bedroom detached properties.
The name of the project was inspired by children’s cartoon character Rupert the Bear, who lived with his parents in a place called Nutwood.
Each house will feature an open-plan kitchen and dining space, a master bedroom with an en-suite shower room and either garage or off-road parking.
Bellway Homes sales director Jenny Bell said: “We are thrilled to announce our plans to build in Roby, delivering much needed high quality homes.
“The development will offer a broad selection of expertly designed properties, which we are confident will attract local buyers from Roby as well as those from further afield.”
Alongside the residential development, Bellway Homes will make a contribution of £75k towards the Bowring Park restoration programme, which includes improvements to pathways and roads in the area.
Construction will start this spring, with a sales launch due in the summer.
