Draper Esprit exits dog nutrition business Tails.com
Venture capital firm Draper Esprit has exited dog nutrition business Tails.com.
Purina Petcare, a subsidiary of food giant Nestlé SA, acquired the stake for an undisclosed sum.
Draper Esprit has a long history with entrepreneur Graham Bosher, the man behind Tails.com, having backed him at rental business LoveFilm and snack company Graze.
Tails.com is based in Richmond, West London. It provides personalised dog food and nutrition support via a direct-to-consumer model, with a technology platform and manufacturing setup offering individually customised recipes.
For London-headquartered Draper Esprit, the disposal is the firm’s fifth in 12 months.
Other recent exits included tech companies Grapeshot and Clavis Insight.
Draper Esprit said the Tails.com deal delivered an “attractive return”.
