Home of Hard Rock Café Leeds acquired for £12m
Town Centre Securities PLC (TCS) has acquired a building in Leeds for eight figures.
The property investment and development firm bought The Cube, located at 123 Albion Street, from insurance giant Aviva for £12m.
The scheme includes 22,000 sq ft of leisure space on its ground floor, with leases to restaurant chain Hard Rock Café and bingo club operator Mecca.
It also houses 50,000 sq ft of offices across three floors, currently leased to housebuilder Persimmon Homes at a peppercorn rate.
TCS, which has offices across Leeds, London, Manchester and Scotland, will fund the deal using existing resources and planned disposals.
The Cube is located opposite the Merrion Centre shopping complex – the largest asset in TCS’s portfolio.
The acquisition follows the appointment of a new property director at TCS.
