SIMON WEBBE AND RANVIR SINGH TO HOST HSBC-SPONSORED INAUGURAL INVESTING IN ETHNICITY AWARDS

Simon Webbe and Ranvir Singh will both host the HSBC-sponsored Ethnicity Awards on 1 November.

The Investing in Ethnicity Awards will recognise ethnic minority personalities and organisations with a track record of promoting inclusivity.

Business leaders and big brands will be represented at the awards. Organisations including John Lewis, McCain and River Island are all nominated for awards.

The shortlist also includes household names including Alesha Dixon and Meghan Markle.

Other celebrity nominees include model Adwoa Aboah, controversial 80s singer Grace Jones and presenter Jameela Jamil, who is up for the Influencer Award.

Founder of the awards, Sarah Garrett MBE, said: “Simon and Ranvir couldn’t be a better pairing to host the ceremony. They promise to bring entertainment and fun to the evening while ensuring the important message behind the awards isn’t lost.”

Blue singer Simon Webbe said: “I am honoured to be co-presenting the 2018 Investing in Ethnicity Awards. It means a great deal to me personally to support and honour those that are committed to diversity in the workplace and our communities.”

Ranvir Singh, TV presenter, said: “I’m delighted to be co-hosting the awards - it will be a proud night for talented people who are truly representing the world around them and being a part of the evening is a huge honour. I am very excited to see the winners awarded for promoting diversity.”
