Staff rewarded after 110 years of combined service!
Long serving security and cleaning staff have recently been recognised for their dedication and years’ of service working at the Alhambra Shopping Centre in Barnsley town centre.
Seven members of staff were presented with long service awards clocking up 110 years’ worth of service at the shopping centre between them. All members of staff who had worked at the Centre for ten years or more, received certificates and gifts to mark their success and loyalty.
Helen Shapcott (52) is a member of the Alhambra Shopping Centre’s cleaning team who has worked there for 25 years alongside the rest of the team, including security guard Alec Sari (55) who is celebrating his 21st year of service.
John Tarrant, Alhambra Centre manager said: “We always like to celebrate staff achievements at the Alhambra and are very proud of all the staff for their dedication and hard work over the years.”
“To say the centre has only been open 27 years, two members of the team have almost been here from the very start which is a fantastic achievement.”
John concludes: “It’s such a delight to be able to give the people who have formed the backbone of the centre the recognition they truly deserve –110 year combined service, wow! Congratulations to all.”
