Vernon Building Society sponsors Stockport Town
The Vernon Building Society, which has been part of the Stockport landscape for almost 100 years, is supporting Stockport Town FC for the next three years after committing to three pitchside advertising boards at the club’s home ground, Stockport Sports Village in Woodley.
The Vernon Building Society has always been pleased to support local initiatives and when Stockport Town FC introduced a new partnership with Stockport County giving youngsters the playing opportunities in their under-21s and first-team squads, they knew they wanted to align with this ethos.
Ian Keeling said “We’re delighted to continue our support for a further three years.
“The club is extremely well run to a set of values that allows it to nurture local young talent.
“We were particularly impressed with the way it works in harmony with our other partner, Stockport County – giving the players great opportunities for career progression.”
Stockport Town FC Chairman, Seb Rowe added: “We’d like to thank the Vernon Building Society for their continued support.
“It’s vitally important for a club like ours to attract such reputable businesses and this enables us to fulfil our commitment of giving talented footballers in Stockport the opportunities they deserve.”
