World's first video-only review platform gains vast popularity in London
Since its launch, a platform enabling people to film and upload videos of their experiences at restaurants, bars, markets and venues, has received over 6,000 individual video stories in and around London.
Hollabox, which has partnered with Uber, OpenTable and Bookatable, allows users to book directly through the app, get directions, or order an Uber to any venue it features.
Originally founded in 2015, Hollabox is the brainchild of Bournemouth University graduates Adam Beveridge, Josh D’acres and Arun Thangavel.
A member of Just Eat’s Seed Programme and backed by Just Eat Ventures, the startup has been designed to offer a reviewing platform that allows people to make informed decisions about where is best for food, drinks and entertainment.
Users can search by category, name, tag or what is trending, to view honest, user-generated, unfiltered videos of experiences and venues throughout London.
Adam Beveridge, CEO and co-founder of Hollabox, commented: “We believe in making the most out of life through experiences. Over the course of our journey from start to development we have learnt most by doing and failing.
“If it wasn’t for trying new things and adjusting to make changes to the platform, we wouldn’t be where we are today.
“With Hollabox, we wanted to create a platform that utilises video as the quickest, most transparent and entertaining way find out about where to visit in London, and provide a glimpse into the city’s best venues.”
Hollabox is backed by Just Eat Ventures, Jenson Funding Partners, Creative England, Virgin Start Up, Innovate UK and Angel Investors.
