New NETPark base for growing software business Quorum Development
Software company Quorum Development Ltd has set up a new base at the North East’s NETPark scheme.
The firm is relocating its 14-strong team to the Explorer building at the technology park, located in Sedgefield, after doubling its client count in 2018.
Founded in 2002, Quorum provides advice, software and services to organisations including EDF Energy, Centrica and Denmark-based Orsted. Its products enable customers to gather data across a business and make more informed decisions.
Quorum has a turnover of £1.3m but plans to grow sales to £2m in the next two years.
The firm was previously based at the incubator at NETPark, run by economic development organisation Business Durham on behalf of Durham County Council.
Quorum’ director and co-founder John Sherban said: “The power generation industry is changing quickly in response to the move to generate renewable energy and because we’re a small company, we’re agile and best placed to respond to those changes.
“There’s a skillset and depth of experience in place here so people know we can be trusted to produce software that solves their problems, on time and to budget.”
NETPark manager Janet Todd commented: “Quorum is an exceptional company and we’re delighted to welcome them to their new home.
“We look forward to supporting them further as their business grows.”
