Remondis operations rebranded as CSG Recovery
The services of two top waste management companies have been brought together under the CSG brand.
All the activities of industrial waste specialist Remondis UK Ltd will be offered under the brand of CSG Recovery, following the acquisition of the Prescot-based business.
Neil Richards, CSG’s managing director, said: “As part of our ambitious growth plans for national coverage and diversity of operations, we are pleased to offer the specialist services of Remondis UK Ltd under the CSG brand.
“The processing capability delivered by CSG Recovery will perfectly complement our existing specialist services and enable us to offer a complete range of waste management solutions for industrial customers.”
CSG Recovery will provide specialist recycling of hazardous and photographic waste through silver recovery and trans-frontier shipments (TFS). Currently operating from CSG’s flagship waste processing facility at Cadishead, Remondis was the first company in the UK to be granted a TFS licence, permitting it to transfer hazardous waste out of the UK for processing or use in energy generation overseas.
CSG was founded as a one-man sewage collection business in rural Hampshire more than 80 years ago and now employs a national workforce of nearly 500 people. The company is one of the largest privately-owned industrial and domestic environmental waste management groups in Britain, operating from 27 sites across the UK.
