The latest network for 'women in communications' launches in Manchester
A new communications network, Bloom North, for women has launched.
Spearheaded by the advertising community, the Bloom North team currently comprises of 13 women from the media world who came together after determining a need in the Northern market for such a network.
Bloom UK is now an established network based in London. After meeting with the Southern team, it became clear that Bloom UK’s goals and pillars mirrored those of this Northern startup network - which set off Bloom North.
Whilst many companies have great internal female networks, the communications industry in the North does not have a combined one.
By reaching out to key influencers in the market to find out what they would require from such a network via a survey, the results supposedly demonstrated a need for such a network, which became the company’s starting point.
As well as being an inclusive, collaborative network, Bloom North aims to help women achieve their goals by educating them on key topics, whilst enabling a forum to build their network.
