Box bedroom heroes up for national award
A North East financial services business, established less than three years ago, has been shortlisted for a major national award.
313 Financial, based in Meadowfield, near Durham, is one of only five operations in the region to be nominated for the first NatWest Local Hero Mortgage Awards.
Set up in the box bedroom of one of its directors’ homes in 2016, the company has grown rapidly and now employs ten people, offering independent mortgage advice, home, life and health insurance policies as well as services such as wills, trusts or powers of attorney.
Jordan Sanders, from Durham, who set up 313 Financial with Paul Gray, from Hartlepool, said: “It has been an incredible start to running a business. Things have gone better that we ever imagined and now, to be recognised by one of the top UK mortgage lenders is a huge boost – especially as this is not a competition you can enter. You have to be nominated by the bank.”
Through the awards, NatWest is recognising brokers that have gone beyond everyday expectations to put the customer and their local community at the heart of their firm.
In total 60 firms from all over the UK have been shortlisted for 12 regional awards, with a further two awards for Best National Estate Agency and Best National Broker Firm to be revealed at an awards dinner, to be held in Birmingham on 13th March.
