Dacres retains the top sales spot in Knaresborough
An estate agency firm that has operated in Knaresborough for over 40 years has been crowned the town’s number one agent for 2018. Dacre, Son & Hartley is the best performing agent, according to figures from property portal Rightmove, which reveal that the firm has achieved the highest level of sales compared to the other 38 agents operating in the HG5 postcode area. The firm has delivered 26% of sales for the area, its nearest competitor achieved just 15%. Senior Associate Nick Alcock, who is the branch manager at Dacre, Son & Hartley’s Knaresborough office, said: “The figures prove just how successful we were last year despite fluctuating market conditions and indecision surrounding Brexit. We also enjoyed our busiest November ever recorded for sales, and as a result we are now actively seeking more properties to bring onto the market.”
Selling a large mix of property types, ranging in price from £80,000 to £1.1million in 2018, Dacre, Son & Hartley has a convenient and high profile position on the High Street. The firm recently invested in state of the art window displays, and has increased exposure for its properties via its ‘shop front’ as well as online. Nick added: “We are that rare combination of a high-street agent committed to personal one-to-one service, with the huge benefit of being part of a larger 20 office network with a dedicated marketing division and award winning website. Our online profile is highly visible, listing properties on all the leading property portals, and our tablet and mobile friendly website attracts thousands of visitors every day. “Continuing our market leading position, we aim to keep this title by delivering on our promises to our clients and continuing to provide considered pricing advice, whilst proactively marketing our instructions to contacts on our extensive database, through our website, the online property portals and in the local and national media.”
