New management team as Shoosmiths Manchester looks to build on office’s success
Shoosmiths is proud to announce a number of significant changes at its Manchester office, including a new head of office, head of real estate and a joint promotion for two partners taking over a national role.
The appointment of existing head of Manchester and head of real estate Vaqas Farooq to the main UK board in a strategic role has resulted in Wayne Nash, head of property litigation in the north, taking on the mantle of office head.
Andrew Pattinson has stepped up to the role as head of Manchester real estate; while Kathryn Jump and Lisa Tye continue their job share progression – by taking over as the firm’s national head of planning.
Wayne, who will head up the award-winning fully agile office in the XYZ Building, Spinningfields, will be supported by two deputy heads of office, litigation partner Kath Livingston and corporate partner Karen Procter.
Wayne said: “I am looking forward to this new challenge. Under the excellent stewardship of Vaq, our Manchester office has gone from strength to strength in recent years, growing a number of teams with key strategic hires, as well as advising major corporates across the region in several sectors. I wish Vaq well in his new national role and I am looking forward to working with Kath and Karen and the whole office as we build upon our success as one of the leading law firms in the city.
“I am also delighted about the new roles for Kathryn Jump, Lisa Tye and Andrew Pattinson. The real estate team they manage is market leading and renowned for its innovation and service to clients and I am confident that they will continue to enjoy even more success.”
