Doncaster firm says ‘guten tag’ to European expansion
Doncaster based firm Mech FS is all set for European expansion following the opening of its new premises in Germany.
As part of its international expansion, the mechanical and electrical engineering specialist has established new firm Mech FS GMBH, based in the south west German city of Mannheim.
With an existing team of 140 staff across the UK, the opening of the new premises has created 15 jobs within the family-run firm, both in the UK and at the Mannheim office.
Specialising in technology-led design, manufacture and install solutions, Mech FS has already secured multi-million euro orders in Germany and Romania with plans to grow further throughout Europe.
Paul Sutherland, chief executive of Mech FS, explained: “The opening of a base in Mannheim marks a major milestone for Mech FS and cements the first step of our European expansion strategy.”
“We are proud to be part of Doncaster’s engineering and technology community as we develop our local talent to meet a worldwide need, and we’re really excited about the expansion – it’s a great way to round off our first decade in business.”
