‘Buoyant’ private rental sector boosts North East agency
A North East agency has experienced a strong start to the year with an increase in turnaround on residential lettings.
North East letting agent Sanderson Young, with offices in Alnwick, Gosforth and Ponteland, has seen the average time between listing and lettings agreed drop from up to five weeks to up to three days.
With an increased stock of properties on the market, the company’s average number of views has also dropped from 15 to 20 views to two or three per property.
Residential lettings manager Gail McClean, explained: “As well a buoyant property market - now is a good time to let out property because the demand is so high and rental prices have risen.
“At the moment, 80% of our customer base is outside of the North East. This is a positive reflection on the North East business sector and also its appeal to bring up families and build communities.”
