Seaside town to welcome top TV chefs for first ever food festival
Celebrity chefs John Torode and Phil Vickery will be appearing at the first ever Seaham Food Festival in Seaham this summer.
The County Durham coastal town will host the festival in June, with over 100 traders and independent businesses set to take part.
BBC MasterChef co-presenter John and This Morning regular Phil will be running cooking demonstrations at the festival’s open-air cookery theatre alongside local chefs and business owners.
The news of the event follows the success of the latest Bishop Auckland Food Festival, which attracted nearly 30,000 visitors last weekend.
Celebrity chef John Torode commented: “I am really excited to be heading up to the North East coast for Seaham Food Festival.”
“It’s been a long time since I visited the area and I can’t wait to see what the shores of Seaham have to offer.”
