International work on the rise at Shrewsbury law firm
A Shrewsbury law firm has moved to strengthen its international ties after seeing an increase in overseas work from its range of private and corporate clients.
Aaron & Partners LLP has seen rising demand from clients needing legal expertise in other countries around the world, whilst also receiving a boost in referrals from law firms in other territories in need of UK-based legal support.
The firm is a long-standing member of International Advisory Group Global (IAG) – a worldwide network of legal, accountancy and corporate finance professionals – and one of its top lawyers recently returned from an annual meeting in Liechtenstein aimed at strengthening relationships between members.
Markets in 40 countries around the globe including Germany, China, Australia and Brazil are already represented through IAG Global and the group is still recruiting new members.
Stuart Haynes, a Partner in the Corporate and Commercial Law team at Aaron & Partners, has been a member since 1996 and part of its advisory board for the last four years.
He said: “We’ve found that demand for cross-border legal expertise is on the increase and we’ve witnessed that from our existing clients in the UK as well as new clients coming to us from other jurisdictions for support.
“That’s why we’ve made it a strategic priority to ensure we maintain strong relationships and create new ones with our partners across the world through our IAG Global membership, in order to continue enhancing our international offering.
“We’ve been part of the IAG Global network for almost 25 years and that has enabled us to collaborate successfully with lawyers and a range of other professionals across the globe.
“In these uncertain times with Brexit casting a giant shadow over all aspects of the economy, it’s even more important to make sure we’re building strong relationships with other partners around the world, offering clients access to high-quality legal expertise wherever and whenever they need it.”
Aaron & Partners provides bespoke and commercially focused legal advice to a core client base of SMEs and owner-managed businesses and investors in those businesses, as well as family law and wills, tax and trust advice for high net worth clients or those with complex situations and assets.
