Vape store brings jobs to growing Northumberland town
A national vaping retail specialist has opened a new store in Northumberland creating five new jobs.
VPZ, which has over 120 stores throughout the UK, opened its latest store in Ashington last week, as part of plans to treble its store footprint by 2021.
The news of the store opening comes after regeneration plans for Ashington town centre have been granted funding, aiming to create more retail and leisure amenities in the area.
Director Doug Mutter said: “We are excited to be opening the doors of our new VPZ store in Ashington as part of our growth plans across the UK.”
“At a time when many businesses are exiting High Streets across the country, we are committed to creating jobs and investing in communities throughout the UK like we are doing in Ashington.
Specialising in vaping and alternative tobacco products, VPZ claims that its proposition provides an “evidence based public health opportunity”.
Director Doug Mutter explained: “Each new store opening helps us to achieve a greater reach, providing us with a platform to engage and educate even more smokers on the benefits of switching to vaping.”
