Healthy outlook for Yorkshire family firm with operations expansion
A family-run manufacturer of health and wellbeing products has expanded operations in East Yorkshire.
Pocklington-based company Power Health has constructed an additional 14.800 sq ft space adjoining its existing 28,000 sq ft unit to accommodate demand from a growing customer base.
Established in 1972, the family-run firm specialises in health and wellbeing items including vitamins, supplements, natural remedies and beauty products, and has its goods stocked online, in pharmacies, independent health shops and national retailer Holland & Barrett.
Commenting on the expansion, managing director Vicky McIver said: “We moved into our current site in 1982 and we’ve outgrown all useable space so we’ve constructed a new building and knocked through to create a fantastic new facility.
“Health and wellbeing is a growing industry and there’s huge interest and demand for natural and plant-based products, which most of our lines are. Because we manufacture here in Yorkshire, we are able to respond to industry trends very quickly so our expansion will allow us to stock a wider range and ensure that we can meet market demands.”
