Final parcel of land sold at major Barnsley development
National firm Carnell Management Services has bought the last plot of land at the second phase of Barnsley’s Nexus development at Capitol Park.
Phase one of the industrial scheme, which is due to be completed later this year, will deliver 15 units from 3,000 to 11,800 sq ft on the 36-acre site next to M1 junction 37.
The purchase of the final parcel of land by the management group was facilitated by Yorkshire law firm Gordons.
Gordons commercial property partner, Sarah Ratcliffe, commented: “This is a strategic purchase which will result in further significant development at Capitol Park, bringing additional employment and investment to the area.
“We were pleased to act on behalf of Carnell Management Services again and look forward to seeing the scheme come to fruition.”
Martyn Carnell from Carnell Management Services added: “We are delighted to see this scheme come to life and are confident of occupier demand.”
