Rochdale gets affordable family home boost
A £2 million scheme of 12 affordable family homes at Ramsey Terrace in Rochdale is set to welcome its first tenants.
Built by M&Y Maintenance and Construction, on behalf of housing provider Regenda Homes, the mix of three- and four-bedroom family homes will make a valuable contribution to delivering the affordable housing that Rochdale needs.
Ramsey Terrace was designed by BTP Architects and makes maximum use of a small plot of land.
Martin Davies, Director of Development at Regenda Homes, said: “We are delighted to handover these fantastic homes as part of our commitment to invest in the Wardleworth and Hamer neighbourhood.
“After our neighbourhood team told us about the high demand for larger homes within the local area, we worked closely with our partners at Rochdale Council to help deliver new homes.
“The design responds well to the terrace street pattern while providing modern spacious family housing.”
Gill Kelly, Managing Director at M&Y Maintenance and Construction, said: “We are really proud of this scheme and the impact it will have on housing in Rochdale.
“Building on a small plot that is surrounded by occupied homes is always a challenge, but the team have worked closely and positively with the local community.
“I look forward to seeing the first families move in.”
The development at Ramsey Terrace received funding from Homes England.
