North East property specialist celebrates turnover boost with new premises
A North East property firm has relocated its Northumberland office to a more prominent unit following a 25 per cent year-on-year turnover increase for the branch.
The independent property company Sanderson Young has relocated its Alnwick premises to a new double-fronted shop, following a 161 per cent increase in Northumberland sales.
Duncan Young, chairman of Sanderson Young, explained: “We’re experiencing a strong year across the entire North East region, but particularly in Northumberland.
“Instructions across the region are up 274 per cent and our Alnwick branch is achieving a 25 per cent higher turnover than it was at the same time last year.”
With Alnwick named as one of the most desirable places to live in the UK in the 2018 Sunday Times Best Places to Live list, Sanderson Young attributed the boost in turnover to a growing demand to live in the area as well as an increase in new-build properties.
Duncan added: “Our newly refurbished office in a prime location in Alnwick, coupled with Northumberland becoming a very popular place to live, is attracting more buyers and vendors through the door to discuss their property requirements and interests.
“New homes developments have been instrumental to our growth. We currently have 14 live new home sites, located across Northumberland in places including Morpeth, Lesbury, Heddon and Wylam.
“The majority of these homes are sold; and we expect to be instructed to sell on many more developments as we enter the second half of 2019.”
