Freebie website joins £15m money-saving portfolio of Dragons’ Den winner
A London-based entrepreneur and former contestant on TV’s Dragons’ Den has added a freebies website to his portfolio of money-saving businesses.
Deepak Tailor, who founded online businesses LatestFreeStuff.co.uk and LatestDeals.co.uk, has acquired FreeStuff.co.uk, in a bid to become one of the UK’s largest affiliate publishers.
Acquired for an undisclosed sum, FreeStuff.co.uk offers free samples, trials, prizes and coupons on a range of brands.
Deepak found fame in 2016 when he went on BBC’s Dragon’s Den, getting three offers from the dragons. He has since grown LatestFreeStuff.co.uk and LatestDeals.co.uk, which have a estimated combined value of around £15m.
Commenting on the new acquisition, Deepak said: “I am delighted to now be a part of the community at FreeStuff.co.uk. It was one of the first freebie websites in the UK and I have always had a nostalgic soft spot for it.
“Together, we’re going to do some incredible things in our journey to be the UK’s biggest money saving community.”
