Manufacturer to complete £3m move to ‘world-class’ Northumberland HQ facility
A Northumberland-based manufacturer is set to quadruple manufacturing capacity for advanced machines and robots (AMRs) as it completes a £3m move to new headquarters.
Manufacturing firm Tharsus Group is scheduled to complete the move to its new design, development and new product introduction facility in its home town of Blyth in Northumberland.
Tharsus Group comprises design and manufacture company Tharsus Limited and complex fabrication specialist Universal Wolf, with both companies experiencing periods of growth.
The group reported an overall 85 per cent revenue growth in 2018 to £51.2m, with Universal Wolf experiencing a 22.4 per cent increase following its rebrand.
The revenue rise has enabled the group to invest and expand operations in order to meet a growing demand from international customers.
In addition to the revenue increase, the group’s headcount has risen from 216 to over 300 colleagues over the last 18 months.
