Leading Yorkshire-based cable management firm expands operations
Cable management and identification specialist Cable Trail is recruiting following a sustained period of national and international expansion.
The Wetherby-based company designs and produces innovative cable management and identification solutions for a range of sectors and is one of the UK’s fastest growing manufacturers of asset management identification tags. Customers include the national chain YESSS Electrical, BAE Systems and Allianz Insurance.
Sales have increased by 40-50% in the last two years in Cable Trail’s key markets of lifting and inspection, construction, oil and gas, health and safety, airports and utilities. The business recently won a distribution contract with a Swedish company in addition to trialling products with an organisation in Dubai and eastern Europe
It also exports extensively into Africa and the Persian Gulf region, recording a 46% increase in export sales to these locations in the past 12 months.
Cable Trail recently recruited an office manager, Jenny Parker, and has invested in a new management system to give real time information. It is now looking to boost its production team as the volume of work and number of products on offer increases.
The company has relocated to a modern industrial unit to allow room for expansion, illustrated by a recent increase in laser marking capabilities.
Research and development are continuous, said MD Nigel Myers, with a number of new patented products launched each year.
He commented: “Innovation is at the heart of what we do and we are constantly looking at the R&D of new products.
“We are delighted to be recruiting following sales increases across a number of key markets and we are targeting further growth of around 40% over the next two to three years.”
