Beyond Housing takes ownership of new homes in Bedale
Beyond Housing has taken ownership of seven new homes in the North Yorkshire market town of Bedale.
The four houses and three bungalows are the first of 31 new homes that the Scarborough and Redcar–based housing provider has purchased from Persimmon Homes on its new development at Lyngarth Farm, Bedale Meadows. This arrangement allows Persimmon to fulfil affordable housing obligations specified within the planning approval.
Further commitments within the planning approval will ensure that prospective residents with a local connection to the area are prioritised when tenancy bids are considered.
The homes being purchased by Beyond Housing will comprise a mix of two-and three-bedroom houses, along with 3 bungalows which are suitable for older people.
Of these properties, nine will be marketed for sale on a shared ownership basis, with the remaining 22 homes being made available for social rent. The phased delivery of properties on the site will complete in December 2020.
Karen Howard, Beyond Housing Development Manager, said: “This Beyond Housing development, in partnership with Persimmon Homes, will offer exciting new high-quality housing options for residents in the beautiful Hambleton area.
“This is our first development in the Hambleton district and is a complementary addition to the stock we already hold across North Yorkshire. Schemes like this continue to underline our commitment to providing homes that our customers want to live in, situated within thriving and sustainable communities”.
