Ilkley law firm expands with senior appointment
An Ilkley law firm is continuing to expand in the town with the appointment of senior solicitor, Jennifer Bateman.
Jennifer, who has 17 years of industry experience, has joined the commercial property department at Eatons Solicitors on Church Street. Jennifer has worked in large law firms across West Yorkshire and joins the 62-strong team which also has offices in Bradford, Bingley and Leeds.
Working directly with the firm’s partner and head of property, David Butterfield and fellow senior solicitor Claire Roberts, Jennifer is responsible for developing the commercial property arm of the business across the Wharfedale and Airedale areas, from the Ilkley base.
“I’m incredibly excited to have joined Eatons Solicitors at such a pivotal time for its commercial property department, particularly across the Ilkley area. The team has been so welcoming and their progressive attitude in the industry has been especially refreshing.
“The commercial property department is never quiet and I enjoy the fast pace and variety of working on everything from landlord and tenant agreements and large portfolio management work to sales and purchases and licensing issues; we are never bored! I’m really looking forward to working closely with the team and meeting clients in and around Ilkley,” said Jennifer, who lives in Cononley.
The appointment comes shortly after Eatons Solicitors’ first anniversary at its Ilkley office, following a history of providing legal services for more than 130 years.
Graeme Brown, managing partner at the firm who celebrated 35 years of service earlier this year, said: “Jennifer has made a great start with Eatons and we’re excited to see her develop and strengthen our commercial property arm across Ilkley – she has already brought a wealth of experience with her and is an asset to David’s team.”
Eatons Solicitors provides commercial and domestic legal services across the West Yorkshire district for matters including property, family, HR, wills and probate, powers of attorney, employment and intellectual property.
