West Yorkshire Combined Authority HQ set for £5.9m revamp
A business with offices across the North and Midlands has secured a £5.9m contract to refurbish the headquarters of the West Yorkshire Combined Authority.
Clugston Construction, part of the Clugston Group, has won the deal to revamp Wellington House in Leeds into modern flexible offices and conference rooms.
Delivered through the YORbuild 2 Framework, the project includes the phased refurbishment of the five-storey office block, which is situated opposite Leeds Central train station and adjacent to the former Majestic Cinema in City Square.
Rod Fry, Clugston Construction director, commented: “We are delighted to be involved in what is an exciting project not only for West Yorkshire Combined Authority, but also for the continued regeneration of Leeds city centre.
“Wellington House has been around since the early 1900’s and remains an essential part of the city’s infrastructure.
“We are excited to be working with West Yorkshire Combined Authority to deliver this newly refurbishment building and help bring the facility firmly into the modern era.”
