Green light given for 280-home development in Beckenham
Permission has been granted for a residential development set to deliver hundreds of new homes in Greater London.
Housebuilder CALA Homes has secured planning approval for the development to the south of Beckenham between the neighbourhoods of Eden Park and Langley Park.
Comprising one to three-bedroom apartments and two to five-bedroom homes, the development will also feature a new 100-bedroom care home provided by Signature Senior Lifestyle.
Daniel Webber, land director at CALA Homes South Home Counties, commented: “We’re delighted to have received planning permission to deliver 280 high quality brand new homes in such a leafy part of Beckenham.
“The new development will play an important role in creating new and importantly sustainable homes needed as well as providing much-needed affordable housing.
“The site’s proximity to key transport links, green spaces and excellent schooling will be sure to appeal to families and commuters.”
