Newcastle software firm expands reach in social housing market with new acquisition
A Newcastle-headquartered software firm has expanded its reach into the social housing and contractor markets with its latest acquisition.
Orchard Information Systems Ltd has acquired repair and maintenance software company InterNETalia as part of its ongoing expansion.
The deal sees Orchard acquire InterNETalia’s flagship product AccuServ, which delivers housing repairs management solutions for housing organisations and contractors.
Founded in 1997, InterNETalia develops ERP and contract job management software solutions used by housing organisations, contractors, the steel stockholding industry, and the heating, plumbing and electrical sectors.
Pat Clarke, Orchard CEO, commented, “We are very pleased to have acquired the best repairs and maintenance solution with full mobile capability and powerful scheduling, that fits our customers’ needs, as this is something they have been requesting for some time.
“This solution also accelerates our vision to become the market leading, single supplier of choice by delivering greater value to our customers.”
Alec Reid, CEO of InterNETalia Ltd, added: “Orchard and InterNETalia are a perfect match. This takes AccuServ to the next level, exposing it to a wider set of customers and markets.
“As businesses we are culturally aligned, sharing many core values particularly around our focus on customer service and continuous innovation. Coming together will deepen our combined knowledge and sector expertise to serve our customers better.”
