Family company earns millions after relocation to Northumberland
Family-run firm Tigerbags has announced that it has grown into a multi-million pound company since moving to its headquarters in Cramlington.
Tigerbags, which was originally based in Oxfordshire, moved to the North East four years ago, and reported that it had its “best year ever” in 2019.
The company distributes and resells laptop bags, backpacks and luggage, and predicts that it will increase its turnover by 35 per cent this financial year.
It was founded in 2003, and is part of the Defining Way company.
It said that it moved to the area to take advantage of the storage, office and warehousing facilities.
Tim Woods, co-owner and co-founder of Tigerbags, said: “Since establishing the business in Cramlington, the company has gone from strength to strength.
“We are now a multi-million-pound business and last year we had our best year ever, and this financial year we are on course to grow again by more than 35 per cent.”
