Yorkshire software firm increases turnover 75 per cent
A South Yorkshire software development firm has announced a 75 per cent increase in turnover.
Merlinsoft, based in Barnsley, employs ten staff and provides business management platforms and venue management software to a range of clients in the UK and overseas.
The company has seen rapid growth in the past five years – turnover in the month of October 2019 alone was higher than in the whole of 2015.
Owen Gleadall, managing director of Merlinsoft, said: “We’re delighted with the turnover figures, which blew all our forecasts away.
“To grow at the rate we have done in such a short space of time has exceeded all our expectations.
“On the back of those figures we’ve set ourselves some ambitious targets for 2020, but we’ve already secured some new client wins, so it’s looking likely that we will surpass our forecasts again.
“Sales for the first few weeks of 2020 already show an increase of 70 per cent over last year at the same time.”
