Russell Roof employee receives Employee of the Quarter award
A member of staff at leading roof tile manufacturer, Russell Roof Tile’s Lochmaben site has been recognised as Employee of the Quarter after going above and beyond his regular duties.
The Employee of the Quarter scheme is in place to reward exceptional staff who have displayed outstanding services, and Russell Roof Tiles encourages their workforce to nominate those who go the extra mile.
Davy Porteous has been with Russell’s for 26 years, working as a key loader and forklift driver and received the award after his exemplary service over the last quarter. He received a certificate and £150 in retail vouchers.
Bruce Laidlaw, Production Director at Russell Roof Tiles said: “During Quarter 4, Davy went above and beyond his normal duties by working extended hours to cover a long-term sickness in the department.
“His attitude, attention to detail and availability in his position was key in him being recognised for the award.”
The Employee of the Quarter scheme was introduced in 2017 in order to maintain Russell’s collaborative company ethos, and to recognise their staff’s continued hard work and dedication.
