AI specialist launches ultrasound simulator at NHS Nightingale
A firm specialising in ultrasound artificial intelligent software and simulation has launched its simulator at the emergency facility in London’s ExCel Centre.
Intelligent Ultrasound Group has announced the launch of its BodyWorks Point-of-Care Ultrasound Simulator in the emergency simulation centre at the NHS Nightingale Hospital.
The firm, which specialises in using AI and software platforms to enhance diagnostic technology, has released the simulator along with a free COVID-19 lung ultrasound module in a bid to fight the ongoing coronavirus outbreak.
As well as the NHS Nightingale, the company has also remotely upgraded over 30 of its BodyWorks PoCUS training simulators with the new training module in hospitals in the UK, USA, Europe and Asia since the module’s launch last week, with very positive feedback from clinicians.
Hannah Conway, an advanced critical care practitioner at Glenfield Hospital Leicester, said: “We’ve had our BodyWorks system upgraded today to include the wonderful new COVID-19 lung ultrasound module.
“[The simulator] will come in incredibly handy when upskilling our Intensive Care Unit teams in lung ultrasound.”
