Property company appoints new finance director
A Warwickshire-based property firm has appointed a new finance director as part of its strategic plan to strengthen the operational and financial responsiveness of the business.
Jo Kirk has joined privately-owned land and development company Rainier Developments Limited, which has its headquarters in Henley-in-Arden, from Calthorpe Estates in Birmingham.
Her appointment comes at a key stage in the company’s evolution with expansion plans involving strategic land deals and major development schemes through the UK, with current schemes including sites in Birmingham, Coventry and Crawley.
She brings a wealth of experience from sectors such as residential care home ownership, the debt collection industry and her former role as finance director for the owners of the Calthorpe Estates’ 1,600-acre mixed-use portfolio.
Jo, who is a qualified accountant and obtained her MBA from Warwick Business School at the University of Warwick, had been with Calthorpe Estates for 15 years.
She said: “I am really looking forward to the challenges and opportunities that Rainier Developments will provide me with.
“They have a great team who have delivered so much already and I am looking forward to continuing the transformation of this renowned property firm and working on its future vision to create a thriving company with a keen focus on delivering enriching property solutions.”
Richard Mees, managing director of Rainier Developments Limited, said: “We are delighted to welcome Jo to our team. With her vast experience and understanding, she will be a great asset as we continue to strengthen our market-leading position.”
