Employee app launches video feature to protect key workers on the frontline
A smart employee app recognised for transforming the experience of key workers through improving company culture, Blink, has launched video sharing to improve safety, increase wellbeing and reduce loneliness on the frontline.
The award-winning employee app already protects frontline workers by removing paper (and associated infection risks) from their day-to-day work. Video sharing extends this capability, eliminating the need for workers to gather for face to face briefings, toolbox talks and in-person meetings. The new feature marks a pivotal step in keeping the frontline informed and protected throughout the Covid-19 pandemic and beyond. Video content is unsurpassed in its ability to convey urgent messages clearly and instantaneously. With Blink’s new feature, frontline workers are uniquely equipped to create, distribute and consume video content wherever they are, ensuring they stay abreast with internal, regional or global updates – without having to leave the app.
Founded by CEO Sean Nolan, Blink is designed to connect and empower frontline workforces. It provides access to all the information, systems and resources they need in a single app, along with the ability to interact with colleagues, give feedback to managers, and shape daily operations within the business. To date, Blink is deployed in over 100 organisations in 14 countries, with clients including the NHS, the Prison Service and Stagecoach.
Sean Nolan, CEO, Blink commented: “Introducing a video sharing function was the next logical step in Blink’s mission to protect the frontline. Video offers unmatched immediacy and it eliminates the need for some in-person interactions, so it’s imperative that our key workers can access it to improve communication on the frontline.”
