Care provider to create jobs with North East recruitment drive
An established care provider aiming to revolutionise the sector is set to launch in the North East.
Oxfordshire-based firm BelleVie has unveiled plans to launch in the region, initially recruiting two teams in the Durham area.
Under BellVie’s model, employees work in small neighbourhood teams, and are hired based on values rather than experience.
BelleVie’s CEO and co-founder Dr Trudie Fell explained: “The care sector is in crisis and it’s widely accepted that the current ‘time-and-task’ model of delivering care is broken.
“It leaves those being supported feeling like items on a tick list, not human beings; and employees are driven away from what can be a fulfilling, meaningful career. There is a growing demand for quality care, and at BelleVie we are doing things differently.
Commenting on the recruitment drive, Dr Fell added: “We’re really excited to now be expanding to the North East to provide quality care for older people, and, importantly, offer employees a long term, fulfilling and rewarding career caring for others.
“We aim to recruit two teams of 10 people initially, in the Durham area, with further teams next year.”
