Hundreds of new homes proposed for Hartlepool wildlife site
The latest phase of a new development is set to create hundreds of new homes to the west of Hartlepool.
Local firm Cecil M Yuill Ltd has applied for outline planning permission for the construction of 475 new homes as part of the third phase of the Quarry Farm development.
The proposed scheme is on land directly adjacent to Phase 2 and north of the land at High Tunstall, and will form the third phase of the development.
In addition to the new homes, the proposed plans include the creation of a new linear green running through the site to link Elwick Road to the south with Worset Lane to the north, as well as an east-west green space and the preservation of the Naisberry Quarry local wildlife site.
Edward Yuill, managing director of Cecil M Yuill Ltd, commented, “We’re delighted to be submitting an outline application, following public consultation, for this third phase of development at Quarry Farm.
“We have always had very keen interest from major housebuilder in our land at Quarry Farm who see it as an opportunity to create a high quality development attractive to the market.”
“Equally important to me, as someone who is extremely proud of my family’s long history in Hartlepool, is to ensure that the town as a whole reaps the benefit of the development. As with Phases 1 and 2, we will always strive to honour the obligations required by adopted planning policy.”
