Zero-waste health food retailer tastes national growth with new delivery service
A London-based health and wellbeing retailer has announced it is expanding operations with the launch of a nationwide delivery service.
Planet Organic has announced the introduction of a new delivery service in order to meet growing demand for its fresh food and drink range.
Founded in 1995, Planet Organic specialises in organic groceries as well as vegan butcher products, keto donuts and locally-brewed kombucha.
The firm operates 11 stores across the capital - the first of which opened in Notting Hill - and was the first UK retailer to be certified organic by the Soil Association.
Since 2019, Planet Organic has been a zero edible food waste business, using a combination of sustainable packaging solutions.
The retailer’s CEO, Peter Marsh, commented: “Our customers outside London frequently ask for nationwide delivery on our fresh food and drink range, from kombucha to organic fruit and veg.
“And now, in making all items available for delivery, we bring our differentiated offer to the whole of the UK.
“We’ve invested heavily in digital, digital marketing and fulfilment logistics as well as in the packaging solutions and the recycling systems put in place around them.”
