Hortons’ Estate Ltd to deliver trio of new industrial units in Staffordshire
Hortons’ Estate Ltd has been granted planning permission to speculatively develop three new industrial/warehouse units at an established multi-let industrial park in Staffordshire.
The independent property company will deliver the new units at Marchington Industrial Estate on Stubby Lane near Uttoxeter.
The new units will range from 5,000 to 7,000 sq ft, with each benefiting from secure private yards. Works have now commenced on site, with the units expected to be ready for occupation in spring next year.
Hortons’ acquired Marchington Industrial Estate in 2013. The site offers over 1.3 million sq ft of industrial/warehousing comprising a range of units between 1,000 to 100,000 sq ft.
Marchington Industrial Estate is conveniently located just 10 minutes’ drive from the A50 dual carriageway and lies between the two main north-south routes in the UK’s motorway network, the M1 and the M6.
Richard Walker, commercial surveyor at Hortons’ Estate Ltd, said: “Marchington, with its mix of warehouse and industrial units continues to perform well due to its attractive location and the flexible and competitive terms offered. As the estate has been fully let, these new units will provide much needed space for local businesses to expand into. Despite challenging market conditions we continue to receive regular enquiries and I’m confident that our ability to work closely with occupiers will ensure that demand for these units is high.”
