The skilled workforce you’re looking for is right here. And they’re ready for everything.

Supporting local people into local jobs – Reed in Partnership’s new, fully funded, recruitment and training service provides job-ready, skilled candidates in your local area across a variety of industries – and it’s fully funded by the Government.

Reed in Partnership is bringing the recently announced extension of the Work and Health Programme for the DWP – ‘The Job Entry: Target Support scheme (JETS)’ – to businesses across the North East region. The JETS scheme supports those who have found themselves out of work due to Covid-19, mobilising a group of approximately 50,000 skilled people who have become recently unemployed.

There are thousands of candidates in your area who are keen to find a new opportunity – and make a difference to an organisation like yours. It’s win-win for your business and your local area, because not only are you supporting a local person who has lost their job through no fault of their own, as a result of COVID-19, back into employment; our service is fully-funded and the cost is being picked up by the Government to help more people find work at this time.

How the service works:

  • You tell us your recruitment needs
  • We develop your talent pool – including screening, interviewing and inducting skilled individuals
  • Post recruitment reviews ensure progress is tracked and support is given where needed

The fully funded scheme will support businesses and individuals alike, with advantages for businesses including: screening, interviewing, tailored training programmes and expert sector-specific guidance and support provided at no cost to the recruiting organisation. Similarly, individuals will receive advice and guidance to align their skills to relevant opportunities and also provide access to financial support for a range of job searching activities, including help towards: travel costs, interview clothing, health assessments and training.

Nicola Whelan, head of delivery support at Reed in Partnership, said: “Having delivered employment support for several years, our specialist advisers will provide vital help to North East job seekers to find and secure employment.

“JETS participants, of which we have already welcomed 2,350 referrals and 1,000 starts in the first two weeks alone, will work closely with Reed in Partnership’s expert employment advisers to develop a personal plan of action and organise all their required support, which will include training on key employment skills such as CV writing, interview skills and even self-confidence.”

Nicola added: “Absolutely imperative to the success of the JETS scheme is engagement and buy in from businesses and we invite organisations to get in touch to discuss how we can help to support their recruitment plans with the provision of skilled, highly trained staff to underpin their business needs and growth objectives.”

We have skilled candidates available now for roles in:

  • Logistics, transport and distribution
  • Professional, business and financial services
  • Manufacturing
  • Creative and digital
  • Health and Social Care
  • Construction and more
