New neighbourhood flexible workspace to be built in London Fields
A new co-working development in Hackney is set to offer flexible working space to serve the local market in a post COVID environment.
Workspace solutions specialist Spacemade has been instructed by Citidwell to develop a new 7,000 sq ft coworking space in Mentmore Terrace in London Fields in Hackney.
Spacemade will take control of an existing coworking space, adding it to their growing network of spaces on their platform. The firm will work with Citidwell to implement a new strategy, business plan and financial model for the building, including space and brand creation and full operational execution once it launches.
Dan Silverman, co-founder at Spacemade, explained: “We’re delighted to add this terrific space in London Fields to our platform.
“Now that the building owner has control, they can provide the space, service and price point that really serves its local market. COVID-19 is accelerating a shift in the way building owners are delivering flexible workspaces.
“Following a decade of landlords leasing a building to a homogenous branded flexible workspace operator who then charged tenants rent, there is a growing trend to offer their own flexible workspace directly to occupiers.
“Businesses occupying the space get the best of both worlds; an individual brand and unique space with access to a trusted network of spaces across the country.”
