Taylor&Emmet gathers gifts for poorly children
A busy team of elves from Sheffield solicitors, Taylor&Emmet LLP, have been collecting toys for children facing Christmas in hospital.
Staff from across the firm’s five offices in South Yorkshire and North Derbyshire have donated more than 50 festive gifts, to be distributed among inpatients at Sheffield Children’s Hospital.
The presents donated by Taylor&Emmet range in suitability from baby to teenager, boys and girls and will be handed out by hospital staff on Christmas Day. The collection, led by the firm’s head of human resources, Sharna Poxon, follows the firm’s support of The Children’s Hospital Charity’s snowflake appeal, enabling the organisation to spread some cheer across the city.
Sharna said: “This initiative has been a pleasure to organise and I can’t thank my colleagues enough for their generosity. As a parent myself, I am extremely grateful that Sheffield Children’s Hospital is located on our doorstep and that we benefit from the specialist care it provides. I can only imagine how tough it is for children who have to spend Christmas in hospital - particularly this year when visiting is restricted - and I hope the gifts we have donated go someway to brightening their day.”
