Business support for Darlington SMEs with new support grant round
Businesses in County Durham are set for another round of financial support with the launch of new grants.
Darlington Borough Council has confirmed that applications for a new round of business support grants to support firms throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.
These new grants will focus on property-related costs for businesses forced to close, as well as new top-up grants of up to £9k aimed at the retail, hospitality and leisure sectors.
Darlington Borough Council has already administered more than £26.5m of grant payments to help local businesses during the pandemic.
Cllr Heather Scott, leader of Darlington Borough Council, commented: “I am delighted that, within just a few days of the Chancellor’s announcement, we are now in a position to take applications for this support.
“[I] would encourage all businesses to follow our dedicated webpage for news of grant updates, as well as keeping in touch with us via our social media to make sure they can remain up-to-date with the business support available.”
