gunnercooke launches Midlands recruitment drive with launch of new Birmingham office
Leading corporate law firm gunnercooke is launching a new recruitment drive for partners in the Midlands following the opening of its Birmingham office.
Since its launch in 2010, the firm has expanded rapidly, through an active recruitment strategy dedicated to appointing senior lawyers across the UK. The Midlands team has seen strong hires so far including Pensions Partner Helen Miles, Corporate Partner Amanda Allen, Dispute Resolution Partner Kelly Fox, and Property Litigation Partner Claire-Elaine Arthurs.
The Birmingham office joins the existing UK spaces in Manchester, Leeds and London, as well as the first overseas office in Berlin, which opened last year.
The new space is based in WeWork in the heart of the city’s financial district on Colmore Row.
gunnercooke co-founder, Sarah Goulbourne, said: “We’re appealing to some of the best legal minds in the Midlands and beyond as we begin a huge recruitment drive to grow our partner numbers across the UK. We’re pleased to be able to offer a space for our Midlands-based lawyers to work from and collaborate and look forward to getting back into the office this year.”
Co-founder, Darryl Cooke, commented: “This is just the latest announcement in what is set to be an exciting period of expansion at gunnercooke. We launched internationally last year and have been busy growing our specialised boutiques in sports and private equity. Our model attracts the very best lawyers and we hope our future plans will create more opportunities for outstanding legal minds. We have more to come!”
gunnercooke is a full-service commercial professional services firm, founded to change the way legal services are delivered to clients and how lawyers balance their lives. The firm’s innovative model sees partners with a minimum 10,000 hours practicing experience becoming trusted advisers to their clients, providing certainty of price and delivering the best quality advice.
The firm has also expanded into several specialist groups offering professional services, including gunnercooke Associates, management consultancy gunnercooke Coaching, gunnercooke Private Equity, and a charity group connecting business leaders with small charities, the gunnercooke foundation.
