Skipton pet care company expands into dog and cat food with latest acquisition

A Skipton pet care company has announced that it is expanding into new areas with its acquisition of a pet food firm.

Assisi Pet Care, which owns natural dog treat supplier Hollings, has acquired family-owned Town & Country Petfoods for an undisclosed sum.

The acquisition sees Assisi expand into the dog foods category, as well as cat foods and treats.

Town & Country currently employs 26 staff, all of which are expected to join the Assisi team.

“This transformational deal has created a £35m turnover business which is well-placed to offer a huge array of products to the rapidly expanding pet care market.”
