Yorkshire Windows plants first 75 trees in green campaign
YORKSHIRE Windows is fulfilling its green promise as it plants its first 75 trees as part of its new carbon footprint campaign.
All windows fitted by Yorkshire Windows now feature EcoMAX glass, created by Durham based Clayton Glass to spark a wider movement among the IGU manufacturing industry towards conscientious material choices.
And as part of that exclusive partnership, Yorkshire Windows - in association with EcoMAX - is also planting a tree in honour of each EcoMAX installation, offsetting the carbon footprint of the manufacturing process.
“This is just the start of a new, green approach to the environmental issues raised by the industry,” said Yorkshire Windows Managing Director Ian Chester.
“The trees have been planted in a sustainable forest development and we are pleased that, in this way, we are making our contribution to addressing environmental concerns.
“Increasingly we are finding that clients are wanting to know about the environmental impact of replacement windows and our exclusive relationship with Clayton Glass addresses many of the issues that concern them most.
“The introduction of EcoMax into our full range is one further and important step in creating a greener industry.”
Yorkshire Windows has its head office in Rotherham and a showroom in Dronfield, on the outskirts of Sheffield.
