Sky Media launches doubled SME scheme with £2m support for UK businesses
A UK media company has announced that it is doubling its SME support programme as it launches for a second year.
Sky Media, the advertising sales arm of Sky, has revealed today that it is relaunching its SME100 scheme, which will provide £2m of support for small businesses across the UK.
The scheme will offer support for 100 businesses, with £20k of advertising provided to each - double the amount offered in 2020.
The programme brings Sky’s advertising support for small businesses to more than £4.5m since the beginning of the pandemic.
SME100 is open to any small business that has been running for at least one year in the UK, with up to 50 full time employees.
Stephen van Rooyen, EVP & CEO of Sky in the UK & Europe, commented: “Small British businesses are more important to the UK economy than ever before.
“The pandemic has hit them hard, and we want to ensure they can bounce back even stronger.
“Through the SME100 scheme we’re offering industry-leading products to help them stay connected to their customers and most importantly, increase their sales and revenue.
“In the last 12 months, Sky has contributed more than £4.5m in advertising support for small businesses, and we’ll continue to do all we can to be there to help.”
