Consensus contracted to refit Blue Building at MediaCity
Consensus Workspace Ltd has been appointed to refit and refurbish 11 floors of MediaCity UK office space, in a new multi-million pound contract with Peel Media.
The Altrincham-based commercial fitout company won a competitive tender for the work at Peel’s Blue Building and started work two weeks ago.
With a completion date of October, the project comprises a mix of refurbishment and complete refits, with OBI Property managing the design. Consensus has worked at MediaCity on a number of projects in the past, creating shared workspace interiors in the White Tower and building MediaCity’s Box on the Docks outdoor dining areas with designer Wayne Hemingway.
Ollie Plastow, director at Consensus says: “This is the largest contract Consensus has won to date: we have only been operating for three years, so we are delighted to be working on something of this scale, for such prestigious and respected clients as Peel Media and OBI - it’s testament to the work we have already done and the confidence our clients have in our team.”
Chris Reay, MediaCityUK Property Director, says: “We’ve worked with Consensus on a number of projects now and they always complete before deadline, within budget and to the highest specification.”
Located in the heart of the creative hub of MediaCity UK, the serviced offices at Blue enjoy stunning views over Salford Quays, as well as the BBC and ITV studios.
