Swansway Group appoints new Health and Safety Manager
Swansway Group welcomes Andrew Darlington who joins as the new Group Health and Safety Manager. Andrew began his Health and Safety career In 2004 and he brings with him a wealth of experience in this vital field, acquired during tenures with Rolls Royce and Bentley, and Screw Fix. When asked what he tempted him to make the move and how he felt about the challenges ahead, here’s what he had to say.
“Initially I was attracted to the role due to the location, but on arriving and meeting with some key staff members, I started to get a really good feel about the organisation as a whole. When you arrive at Head Office you can see all the names of long-serving staff members on the Long Service Boards. I really liked this, as it shows that the company recognises individuals and their specific contributions.
I’m excited about the new challenges ahead. I am really looking forward to introducing myself to the business and getting to understand the individual circumstances of every operation – both under the current restrictions and moving forward beyond the pandemic.“
